Hey! Christians: “Stand Fast”
“Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.” Philippians 4:1, NKJV
These are trying and troubling times in our nation and this next year may even be more trying and troubling. The Christian community around the world needs to awake from their long sleep.
If we Christians choose not to stand up for what we believe, the world will continue to take those beliefs away from us. As we stand up for those things we believe in, we must also stand against those things that would harm us, our families, our churches, and our nation.
Our scripture for today encourages us to “stand fast in the Lord”. The devil has always been happy to see Christians take a passive role in their faith.
This world is in desperate need for Christian leaders to stand against the evil that we see marching through so many countries slaughtering the innocent and many times focusing their wrath on Christians.
The future of our children and grandchildren are at stake in this spiritual war against wickedness in high places. Parents must take their stand in their homes with their own children. Pastors must take their stand in their pulpits. Politicians must take their stand in their respective places.
Someone said on television the other day; “We are at war”. No kidding; I preached that for 36 years. It’s a spiritual war and the devil is gathering the most wicked people on the planet to fight on his side.
Never apologize for your faith or for the stand you take for your children, your marriage, your church, or for your country.
