No One Is Exempt
“Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.” Job 14:1, NKJV
Students in high school long for the day that they can be exempt from their final exams. If they finish the year with a certain grade, they are exempt from taking their final exam in that class.
Who would not want to be exempt from taking an exam? It’s too bad that exemption does apply to mankind and the trouble that he or she will face in this life.
In our scripture for the day, Job told us that a man’s life is full of trouble. Job would be one that could speak about troubles.
In the New Testament, Jesus told us that we would have tribulation in this world. That is a true statement for sure.
No one is exempt. Jesus Christ suffered as few men ever suffered, and He died very young. Ours is a path of sorrow and suffering. In this life we will encounter our share of these troubles that both the Old and the New Testament spoke of.
Perhaps that is why the words are so sweet to hear; “I will be with him in trouble”. Psalm 91:15, NKJV.
Be encouraged today in knowing along with the troubles that you face in life, God will be with you in those troubles. You will not be alone and you will never have to face one problem in your life alone.
