Friends
“A friend loves at all times…………..” Proverbs 17:17, NKJV
How many Facebook friends do you have? Have you ever gotten a friend request on Facebook from someone that you didn’t even know? Sometimes the word “friend” can be misused.
Is there a difference between a casual acquaintance that might call you friend and someone who you consider a “close” friend?
Those who have close friends know they couldn’t live without them. Friends love you enough to confront you when you are wrong and to stand by you through thick and thin.
These are friends who act toward you like a marriage partner is supposed to; for better or for worse. If you have a friend like that, you are rich. If you have more than one you are wealthy beyond measure.
The Bible tells us, “A friend loves at all times”. Has a friend’s advice ever offended or hurt you? Maybe they told you the truth, not to hurt you, but because they loved you.
Friends seem to be plentiful on Facebook while close, committed, and trustworthy friends in life are not so plentiful.
Many things in life are not left to our choosing, but close friends are. Choose your close friends wisely. To have close friends, one must be willing to be a close friend.
