The Lord Is With You
“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Psalm 118:6, NKJV
Fear can be a paralyzing emotion. Fear can stop us cold in our tracks of life. Fear can literally control our life. Often times, people suffer from panic attacks which are a form of fear of something in their immediate future.
Even without panic attacks, we can still experience fear about things in our life. We might fear a medical treatment or procedure we are about to have. We might fear a report that might be forthcoming from a doctor. We might fear a report card from school. We might fear the everyday news that can range from the fear of Ebola or the fear of war in the mid-east.
Fear can be a fleeting emotion over a moment in our life or fear can be an emotion that seems to be more permanent than temporary. In either circumstance, fear can be a disabling enemy to our forward progression out of some unhappy, unpleasant, or challenging event in our life.
Don’t allow fear to control your life. In Psalm 118:6, David came to strong resolution in his life. David was a man whose life was threatened by many men around him, even some in his own family.
His resolution was that the Lord was on his side and he was refusing to live in fear. He knew that if God was with him, what could man do to him?
So it is with us today. As His children, we know that God is on our side. We can then resolve that we will not live in fear regardless of the situation that we are facing.
With God on our side, there is nothing to fear or anyone to fear. There is only one to trust and that is God is walking by our side through it all.
Be encouraged today, in knowing that God is on your side.
With Blessings,
