God Knows Exactly How You Feel
“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Hebrews 2:18, NKJV
Politicians like to say, “I feel your pain”. When someone says that, they want us to believe that they have been in our situation and they can relate to what we are going through.
I will not judge their heart when they say those words for they may truly be able to relate to what the common people are feeling.
However, I will say that there is one who can truly relate to our pain. That one is Jesus Christ. Our scripture for today reminds us that He Himself suffered many things in His 33 years of life and was tempted many times in those years as well.
Because of the suffering and temptations that He endured, He is more than able to “aid” or help us now in the time of our own suffering and/or temptations.
He does understand what you have been though, what you are now going through, and even what you will face in the future, of which you have no knowledge of. He knows about your hurt, pain, discouragement, and even your despair concerning the situation.
Be encouraged today in knowing that you’re not alone in your struggles. An unknown number of people are struggling just like you are today and, at the same time; the Supreme Architect of this universe and your Creator understands exactly how you feel.
