A Spirit Of Power
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV
We can react in many ways when problems arise in our life. Fear can certainly be one emotion we feel when faced with difficulties.
Our scripture for the day reminds us that God has not given the Christian the spirit of fear but of power.
In Proverbs 29:25 we find these words; “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.”
Fear is like a snare that traps us and prevents us from walking in faith which, we as Christians, know that we must do, especially in the time of difficulties.
Fear must come from the enemy to keep us from trusting God when we find ourselves in a valley where it’s hard to find hope when we are unsure of the outcome.
We may fear financial difficulties or health issues or stressful relationships or martial problems or dozens of other problems we face in our life.
Be encouraged today in knowing that the Spirit of power lives within you and you are destined by God to overcome all difficulties.
