“The Peace Speaker”
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7-8, KJV.
There will always be events in this life that shatter our hearts and is just beyond our human understanding and acceptance. We are, after all, just humans. As those tragic events enter into our lives, the “why” may not always be the issue we really need to deal with.
The bigger issue is, how do I deal with this and what do I do next? Focusing on the “why” will many times end in frustration and guilt and open the door to the devil to usher in his opinion and his opinions are never good to listen to.
The “how do I deal with this” and “what do I do next” will most likely lead us to God which is where we need to be and who we need to be listening to. Remember this: the devil always, and I mean always, means to do us harm. Remember that God always, and I mean always, means to do us good.
Our scripture tells us that there is a peace that comes only from God that will pass all understanding. In a raging storm whether it be a natural storm, a physical storm, a financial storm, a virus storm or even a personal storm, when we go to God with it, He gives us a peace that is beyond our understanding.
There is a song that I love to hear entitled, “I Know The Peace Speaker”. The song describes Jesus that “speaks peace” into our storms. And when he speaks “Peace be still”, the storms have to obey.
Be encouraged today that Jesus can be your “Peace Speaker”. Cry out to him in your pain, your loneliness, and your loss and claim the peace that only Jesus can bring.
With Blessings
