I Know God Is Able
“…for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” 2 Timothy 1:12, NKJV
We are living in troubled and trying days. Many may very well be doubting God and asking, “where is God in all this trouble and despair that we are seeing and feeling in our nation, in our own personal lives, and around the world right now”.
Trusting God involves not having the answers, and not being able to see the end of the story.
The scripture I’ve chosen for today reminds us of the confidence that we must have in God even when we cannot see the end of the story. We can read the book of The Revelation and read the end of the story for the whole world.
However, as we live day in and day out in our personal life, the end of the story is not written out for us. Therefore, we must commit, or give, to God our life and all the days that are in our life and trust Him with the outcome without revealing to us His planned outcome. That is trust!
We may not always agree with the outcome but His way is always the best way even if we don’t understand it. That is trust!
Be encouraged today, in knowing that God is able to “keep”, or hold whatever you have given Him. When we give things, or people, to God, we must be prepared to trust Him to the very end and have the confidence that His plans are always for our good.
That is trust!
