I Did It My Way
“…not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39, NKJV
The song “I Did It My Way” was made famous by several singers; Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley are two that come to mind.
The Bible reveals to us that are two paths to take in this life; our way which leads to destruction or God’s way which leads to life.
We are free to choose either path but we must always remember there will be consequences based upon which path we decide to follow.
One can choose to do life “Their Way”, ignore God and walk down that path which will eventually lead to destruction. Their destruction will either come in this life or the life to come.
Or one can choose to do life “God’s Way” which will eventually lead to life. To choose “God’s Way” does not mean a life free from trials or troubles.
It simply means that during those trials and troubles God will walk beside us and hold us through each and every trouble.
I encourage you today to do life “God’s Way”. As you listen to the song “I Did It My Way”, it sounds great and easy and even inspiring.
However, a song is not reality. The consequences of our choices is the harsh reality in life. Choose “God’s Path” and choose life!
