Your Words Are Important
“Your testimonies also are my delight…” Psalm 119:24, NKJV
Remember your words are like toothpaste; once you squeeze the toothpaste out of the tube, you can’t put it back into the tube. Likewise, once your words are spoken, you can’t put them back into your mouth.
Your words impact your testimony for your God. As a Christian, people may be listening more intently to your words than the words of others.
As they hear your words or maybe even as they read your posts of Facebook, people can, and usually do, relate those words to whatever you may have said about your personal relationship to Christ.
Do the words you say or your Facebook posts or the post you share on Facebook from others balance with what you may have previously professed about Christ?
Your words are important whether they are spoken from your lips or written by your finger tips on Facebook.
Our words impact the lives of others either in a negative or positive way. We would be wise to first think about the words we are about to say or the words we are about to post on social media.
We should ask ourselves; how will this impact others and how what will it say about my Christianity?
In our scripture for today, God said that He takes delight in our testimony. Let’s be sure that He can always say that about our words.
