Throw Out Your Anchor And Hold On
“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” Hebrews 6:19, NKJV
Have you ever been in a boat or ship when the water was really rough? I can remember a couple of times that the ship I was in was in stormy weather and the water was really rough. It can be an unnerving experience.
Sometimes our life can be stormy and things can get rough and hard to deal with. What can we do in times like these?
Our scripture for today reminds us that we have an anchor that is both sure and steadfast and will steady our life.
Our anchor is our hope and our hope must always be in Jesus Christ. When the sea of life gets rough, throw out your anchor and hold on.
He will get you through and safely to the other side of the storm. You can trust the anchor and the anchor will hold even in the most violent storm.
