How To Find Peace In The Storm
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You…..” Isaiah 26.3, NKJV.
When our mind is focused on ourselves, we will never find peace.
Faith is an outward look. Faith does not look within; it looks without.
It is not what I think, or what I feel, or what I have done, but it is what Jesus Christ is and has done, that is the important thing for us to dwell upon.
In the storm, we must first and foremost focus our mind and thoughts on Him and what He can do and not ourselves and what we can do.
The turmoil in the storm will continue as long as we are in control and are busy in solving the situation on our own. When we only trust in ourselves, we will continue to feel the storm.
When we have completely focused our mind and thoughts on Him, then the peace can come because we are no longer in control and we know that God is bigger than the situation anyway.
When the storm begins to rage today, don’t focus on what you can do to fix the problem. Instead, focus your mind on Him, remove yourself mentally from the problem and rest in the peace that only Christ can give.
