Strength Comes Out Of Weakness
“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10, NKJV
A paradox is a statement that apparently contradicts itself and yet might be true at the same time. Our paradox in this verse is the statement that says, “For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Paul uses this paradox to explain how he best feels the power of the Lord; when he was feeling weak, that was when he became his strongest.
Therefore, Paul began to take pleasure when in found himself in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, and in distress.
He began to learn that when those things came into his life, the strength of Christ would come with them to help him through those difficult experiences.
This is a great lesson for us because what Christ did for Paul, He will do for us as well.
Be encouraged today in knowing that with your trials comes a strength from Christ through the Holy Spirit that will give you the power you need to be victorious in the situation.
