It’s A Thirsty World
“…If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” John 7:37, NKJV
It’s obvious that this world is thirsting for something that will bring satisfaction. Men and women are thirsting for something they have not got.
The moment a man turns his back upon God, he begins to thirst; and that thirst will never be quenched until he returns to God.
There is a thirst that this world will never quench: the more we drink of its pleasures, the thirstier we become.
We cry out for more and more, and all the while being dragged further and further from God, the only one who can quench our thirst.
Our thirst is not for more things; our real thirst is for more of God. Satan has deceived us in thinking that things will quench our inner thirst.
Our scripture for today, tells us, “to come to Him and drink”; not to the world! The world will never satisfy the thirst of mankind. Only God can do that.
