Sin Is Never Worth The Cost
“And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:13, NKJV
What had Eve done? She had disobeyed God. She had turned from the fountain of life to the fountain of death. She had introduced sin into the world.
God let her live long enough to see what she had done. The first child that she gave birth to murdered the second child she gave birth to.
Remember that sin came into this world full grown. Eve had gained for herself a fallen nature, and had passed it on to her family.
If she lived as long as Adam lived, she lived nearly a thousand years. She had a chance to see something of the untold woe and misery she had introduced into this world.
Sin is never worth the final cost. It always costs us more than we are willing to pay and it always takes us where we don’t want to go.
Eve paved the way for sin to come into the world. Jesus paved the way for forgiveness to come into the world.
