The Narrow Gate That Leads To Life
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14, NKJV
The Bible tells us that in life we all have a choice as to which path we will take in life. The choice consists of a narrow path or a wide path. The choice is ours. No one can make that choice for us. We must make a choice because there is no path between the two.
One path is wide and easy and there are many that choose this path. It is the path most taken because it is easy with fewer restrictions. This path reflects the attitude of the world concerning God. Give me a religion with no bounds, no restrictions, and no guidelines to follow. Just let me do it my way. Sounds pretty good until you read the part that warns us that this path will always lead to the destruction of our life.
The other path has a narrow gate and once on this path, it is a bit more difficult to navigate. The gate is narrow because there is only one way onto this path – Jesus Christ. This path is more difficult to navigate than the other one because there are guidelines we must follow, the Word of God. Sadly, there are only a few that choose this path. The great part about this path is that it always leads to life, eternal life in heaven.
We make many choices during our life. Some are minor and have little effect on our life. Others are major choices that have an eternal impact on our life. One such decision is to live your life on the FAITH lane. You will be glad you did when you reach the end of your path.
