The Light That Is Always On
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4, NKJV
Can you get a shadow without light? If there is a shadow doesn’t there have to be a light present somewhere?
Walk into a perfectly dark room or cave and you will find no shadow present and the reason is that there is no light in the dark room or cave.
Our scripture today comes from the famous 23rd Psalm, verse 4. “Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death….”
If light must be present to cast a shadow, then the Christian will not find his place of death dark, he will find light there.
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” Jesus also said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Christian, as you and I walk into the valley of the shadow of death, we will not be alone for the light that casts the shadow, in that valley of death, will be none other than Jesus Christ.
