How To Avoid Confrontation
“But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.” 2 Timothy 2:23, NKJV
Most times it’s better to just walk away from an argument. There are some things that might be worth arguing over but for the most part all of our arguing will not change one thing.
Walking away does not mean that we are giving up our beliefs or our convictions; it just means we are not going to argue with another person endlessly about the situation.
Our scripture for today reminds us that to argue just generates more strife. Arguing just adds more strife and stress to your life. I don’t know anyone that needs more strife and more stress in their life.
Just walk away. You will be the bigger person for doing so and you will be a better person for doing so. It shows spiritual growth in the area of self-control.
If the opportunity for an argument presents itself today; just walk away. Save yourself from more strife and stress being added to your life. I think you will be glad you did.
