Are You Prayed Out?
“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning’s that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” Romans 8:26-27, NLT
Have you ever been in a situation where you just did not know what to pray? Have you ever prayed so many times about a matter that you did not know what else to pray about that matter? I can answer yes to both of those questions.
When you find yourself in those situations, just pray, but let the Spirit of God pray for you. You might ask, “How do I do that”?
Simply begin to pray and tell God you just don’t know what to pray anymore and then ask the Holy Spirit to take over and then just be quite. Stay there even though you don’t hear anything or don’t feel anything. Just stay there and be quite.
This verse tells us that the Spirit knows the mind and the will of God and that God knows what the Spirit is saying and that the Spirit is in harmony with the perfect will of God for us.
Try it and see if the Holy Spirit won’t pray for you and just know that He is praying God’s perfect will for you and that God is listening to what the Spirit is praying for you.
