Don’t Be Ashamed
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16, NKJV
When Christians stand up for what they believe, they are often called names like haters, insensitive, judgmental, bigots, and many other names that are intended to silence the voice of the Christian.
It’s like the world would like the Christian to be ashamed for defending their beliefs and for standing up for the Word of God.
In the first century, Paul the Apostle faced this same kind of persecution. Those outside of the Christian faith wanted Paul and all who spoke about Christ to stop speaking about Christ.
Today, those outside of the Christian faith would like for all of us Christians to stop speaking about Christ and just go away.
Paul said, in our scripture for today; “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ”. Neither should we be ashamed of the gospel of Christ.
Be encouraged today in knowing that you are not alone in your faith. Continue to stand up for your faith and refuse to be ashamed or silenced for the things that are important to you concerning your faith and your relationship to Jesus Christ.
