You Are Never Alone
“……..And lo, I am with you always….” Matthew 28:20, NKJV.
Life can be extremely lonely at times. The death of a loved one, divorce, separated from family by distance, dealing with difficult situations alone, being left out by friends, family, or co-workers, standing on your faith in the face of opposition are all circumstances that can make us feel lonely.
In November of 1960, Elvis Presley released the song, “Are You Lonely Tonight”. It was an immediate hit. Perhaps it was such a hit because so many could relate to being lonely.
Are you lonely? Has one of the life experiences I mentioned above made you feel lonely? You can be in a crowded room and still feel lonely.
The scripture for today was given to us by Christ so we could be encouraged by the fact that He is always with us in the person of the Holy Spirit that lives within the heart of every believer.
Even though we may feel alone and even though we may be the only one in the room or even though we may be the outsider at work, we are never really alone since Jesus lives in our heart.
We can talk with Him; we can laugh with Him; we can carry on a conversation with Him; we can cry to Him, we can tell Him the burdens of our heart and He can be our best friend even when we feel totally lonely.
Be encouraged today; you are not alone. We never need to call for Jesus to show up. He is already present.
With Blessings,
