“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, NKJV
Can Our Life Be Perfect?
Jesus said, “In this life you will have tribulation”,
Jesus was the Son of God, a perfect man, and yet they crucified Him.
Job was “blameless and upright”, according to God Himself, yet he suffered great loss and great physical pain.
So, again; Can Our Life Be Perfect?
Our scripture this morning reminds us of the stark reality of life; life is hard; filled with difficult and unpleasant times. However, remember this; mixed into this life are un-numbered blessings, good times and great memories.
We live in a fallen world. Fallen away from God and everyone on the planet is paying the consequences – both good and evil.
So, what is the answer when our part of the world falls apart? It’s simple to say but hard to do. Keep you eyes on the Lord and not on man. Someone once said, “When you can’t see the hand of God, you have to trust the heart of God”.
Don’t let the bitterness in. Don’t be controlled by your anger.
Give it to God and then, “Let God Be God”.
Rise above your circumstances. Stay out of the darkness and walk in the light.
Be encouraged today in knowing that God loves you and cares for you even in the hurt that has come into your life. This too will pass and better days are ahead for you!
