Count Your Blessings Today, Not Your Woes
“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Psalm 107:1, NKJV
The great hymn, “Count Your Many Blessings”, encourages us to count all our blessings and to be a grateful person.
Of course, there could never be enough room in these articles to count and name every blessing we have received from the Lord.
Allow me, then, to mention a few each day. The ones that I will mention will be found in scripture.
Today, be thankful for the “goodness” of God and the “mercy” of God. They are found in our scripture for the day.
The “Goodness” of God is something we should be thankful for every day of our life. He is good all the time and that means each and every day of our life. In the worst day that you have ever experienced, there was something good that could be found that was placed there by God, just for you. He is a good God and He deserves our thankfulness for all of His goodness.
The “Mercy” of God is also something we should be thankful for every day of our life. We see His mercy every day as we go through our life. There is not one day that we cannot see the mercy of God somewhere in our life. His mercy endures forever. He deserves our thankfulness for the mercy that He has extended to us in our lifetime.
Today, be thankful for God’s “goodness” and for God’s “mercy” that He extends to you every single day of your life.
