Always Give Thanks
“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?” Luke 17:15-17, NKJV
Thanksgiving is over, or at least the legal holiday is over. Thanksgiving should never be over.
Our scripture for today reminds us of a story of ten lepers that came to Jesus to be healed and He healed every one of them. The emphasis of this parable is that out of the ten lepers that were healed, only one came back to Jesus and thanked Him.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, don’t stop being thankful. He is still blessing you, He is still answering your prayers, He is still doing mighty things for you. Never stop being thankful.
Never allow yourself to be like the nine lepers that were not grateful for their healing.
Never take anything or anyone for granted; especially life. When we begin to take things and people for granted, we will become ungrateful. When we take life for granted, we have become the epitome of ungrateful.
Make it a point every day to give thanks to God for something in your life. There are many things in your life that are good. Focus on one and give God the greatest thanks you can for that one.
