Do You Fear the Lord?
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 KJV
With are the wisdom known and all the lessons yet to be learned, one could consider; what is an important lesson to learn?
May I suggest one lesson that would give birth to many more lessons to learn and much more wisdom to be found?
The answer is in our scripture for the day. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”
Focus on two very important things in the major lesson I have just pointed out here. First, “The fear of the Lord” is the beginning of knowledge.
Simply and powerfully put, knowledge begins with the Fear of the Lord. Let’s learn that and let us allow that to seek deep into our thoughts and let that knowledge begin to thrive in our mind and in our daily living.
We are living in times when the fear of the Lord is a forgotten practice. The majority of this world currently neither fears nor respects the Lord.
Can you imagine what our society would be if we all walked every day in genuine “Fear of the Lord? Our genuine “Fear of the Lord” would have an impact on crime, hostilities, anger, hatred, murder, divorce, hypocrisy, and the list could go on for a while.
Let us try to live one day with a genuine “fear of the Lord” and see what differences it would make toward our spouse, our children, our job, our friends, our enemies, and even our self.
With Blessings,
