“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14, NKJV
I love Christmas lights. I always have and I guess I always will. My house has Christmas lights on it every year.
I don’t know why others put lights on their house at Christmas time but I put them on my house to keep the true story of Christmas in front of anyone that might drive by.
Now I know you can celebrate Christmas just as strongly as I do and not have one light on your house. And, I’ve heard and read most of the arguments that it’s not really the true birth date of Jesus Christ. I would not want to argue either point.
I would simply remind us of the words of Jesus in Matthew 5 that we are the light of the world and that our light should shine as brightly as it can.
Christmas can be Christmas without the lights, the trees, and the presents but Christmas can never be Christmas without Jesus.
